Very good story and well told - based on the actual history of the result of government policy for the resettled native tribes in northeastern Oklahoma. the author is a strong story teller, and skilled writer. If anything, the story moves almost too fast, but as a result is a page turner and stays focussed on the issues of facing personal and societal truths. I have bought several to give as gifts to my Oklahoma relatives.

Hidden history you need to know.

This is a page turner. The author knows how to lead you through a very interesting and exciting time. This part of Oklahoma history is seldom explored. But the best writing in this book is about the people involved. They are realistically familiar and grow into the changes that overtake their lives. After finishing the book, I missed them and wish I could go visit them again.

Inheritance seen in a whole new light

Triple Creek Ranch is Elinor's inheritance, but she gets more than she bargained for when she realizes she's inherited not only land, but the controversy behind it. The historical elements of this book were fascinating for me and I enjoyed the surprising twists. I couldn't stop thinking about the story long after I finished reading it. It's a great 'What If?' book.
